Jil Sander Names Retail Director

To continue to develop the brand's international retail network, Jil Sander has appointed Lorenza Cavalli as worldwide retail director.

MILAN — To continue to develop the brand’s international retail network, Jil Sander has appointed Lorenza Cavalli as worldwide retail director.

She replaces Barbara Calo, who held the post for two years.

Cavalli, who started on Jan. 7, will be responsible for the house’s retail business, overseeing new sales points, finding new locations, coordinating the buying and checking out the image.

Jil Sander currently has 56 stores worldwide and has a string of openings in the pipeline this year, including a flagship in London and one in Sardinia’s Porto Cervo. Creative director Raf Simons plans to unveil a new store concept this spring.

Before joining Jil Sander, Cavalli was retail director at Trussardi and, prior to that, she was at Gucci Group, where her last role was retail area manager for Italy, Germany and Switzerland at Yves Saint Laurent.
