NEW YORK — The Jones Group named Roy Chan president of international, a newly created role effective Sept. 10.
Chan was previously president and chief operating officer at Bestford Inc., a division of Indus Capital Partners and parent to denim brand Evisu. As reported earlier this month, Evisu was closing its New York office, resulting in the exit of several senior executives, including Chan.
Prior to Bestford, Chan served as a senior vice president and general merchandise manager of international business development at Ralph Lauren Corp. Preceding that, he was senior vice president of design and product development of women’s wear at Tommy Hilfiger Inc., and before rising to that role in 2005, he was vice president of international licensing at Hilfiger.
Chan will oversee the global operations of the company across its portfolio of brands and report to Scott Bowman, Jones’ group president of global retail and international business development. “Roy brings a wealth of experience to Jones that reinforces the company’s commitment to grow our businesses outside the United States,” Bowman said.
