MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT LAGOS: Lagos is undergoing a round of management musical chairs. Steven Lagos, formerly chief executive officer and chief creative director of the fine jewelry brand, is taking on two new titles: chairman and chief creative officer. In this new position, Lagos will work solely on design as the brand refocuses its distribution and marketing strategy. “I started the business from the creative side,” said Lagos. “To relinquish my day to day business responsibilities is a dream come true for me.” As Lagos focuses on the creative, a number of former and new employees will take over the business aspects of the company. Most notably, Chris Cullen, who has served as president of the company for seven years, will take over as ceo. “Chris is a team builder and professional manager,” said Lagos. “He created and has executed a vision of the company that leveraged our heritage and product portfolio, while developing new systems that focused on adapting to the changing marketplace.
Together, we created a plan to realign our resources to produce consistent and significant profitable growth.”
Isabelle Scarchilli, formerly director of marketing, has been promoted to vice-president of marketing, while Amanda Willinger, director of e-commerce, will now serve as vice-president of digital and e-commerce. The company has also appointed Diana Nichols as its sales director.
