PARIS — Laurence Boone, France’s President François Hollande’s new economic adviser, has resigned from the Kering board, a company spokesman said.

She joined Kering, parent of brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent and Puma, in 2010 as a director and worked as chief European economist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch until her new governmental appointment.

No replacement for Boone has been named to the Kering board, which currently has 10 directors.
