HONG KONG — Li & Fung said Tuesday it has tapped a Citigroup executive as its chief financial officer to bolster its future growth and ongoing acquisitions push.
Ed Lam will take up the cfo position Nov. 5 and will report to the group’s chief operating officer, Spencer Fung. Fung has overseen the company’s financial operations prior to this appointment, a spokeswoman confirmed.
“Li & Fung has entered a new era of growth with our three global networks, and we are committed to further strengthen our strategic finance function to better allow us to capture the opportunities via our organic growth and acquisition strategy,” Fung said.
Lam most recently worked as head of Hong Kong corporate and investment for Citi, Li & Fung said. He has also held positions at Morgan Stanley and Coopers & Lybrand.
