PARIS — LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has appointed one of its inside talents, Rachel Marouani, as chief executive officer of jeweler Fred Paris, effective Feb. 1.
Marouani succeeds Valérie Lachaux, human resources director of LVMH’s watch and jewelry division, who filled the position in the interim period following the departure of Fred's former ceo, Natalie Bader-Michel, earlier this year. Bader-Michel joined Prada France as its chief executive officer. Since 2005, Marouani fulfilled various roles at the LVMH-owned cosmetics retail chain Sephora, where in 2010 she was appointed marketing director and e-commerce general manager.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
