LVMH Taps Rachel Marouani

Marouani succeeds Valérie Lachaux, human resources director of LVMH’s watch and jewelry division, who filled the position in the interim period.

PARIS — LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has appointed one of its inside talents, Rachel Marouani, as chief executive officer of jeweler Fred Paris, effective Feb. 1.

Marouani succeeds Valérie Lachaux, human resources director of LVMH’s watch and jewelry division, who filled the position in the interim period following the departure of Fred’s former ceo, Natalie Bader-Michel, earlier this year. Bader-Michel joined Prada France as its chief executive officer. Since 2005, Marouani fulfilled various roles at the LVMH-owned cosmetics retail chain Sephora, where in 2010 she was appointed marketing director and e-commerce general manager.

Elizabeth Anglès d’Auriac will succeed Marouani as Sephora’s marketing director, Europe, effective Jan 1, 2012.
