Edward Rosenfeld has been named chairman and chief executive of Steven Madden Ltd., the footwear and accessories supplier and retailer. He has served as interim ceo since March, when he took over for Jamieson Karson, and prior to that spent three years as executive vice president of strategic planning and finance. As chairman, he succeeds Walter Yetnikoff, who is retiring both as chairman and as a director. Before joining Madden, Rosenfeld was vice president in the mergers and acquisition group of the investment bank Peter J. Solomon Co.
