NEW YORK — Mark DiBenedetto has been named senior vice president and general manager at Pamella Roland, the eveningwear firm. He succeeds Robert Hales, who left the company.
Most recently, DiBenedetto was vice president, wholesale at Fendi.
In his new role, DiBenedetto will oversee the company’s New York operation and will spearhead the firm’s planned expansion into new brand categories and licensing opportunities. He will report to Pamella DeVos, president and designer of Pamella Roland.
“As we marked our 10th anniversary earlier this year, we are poised to expand the Pamella Roland brand to a much larger stage, and there is no one better than Mark to lead that charge for us,” said DeVos.
Prior to assuming his most recent post at Fendi, DiBenedetto was director of Fendi’s New York flagship. Earlier he was the senior couture buyer at Bergdorf Goodman and the director of Chanel’s New York flagship.
In other news at Pamella Roland, Leslie Fleming has joined as director of sales. She succeeds Kenneth Marks, who is leaving the firm Friday.
Fleming has been director of sales for such brands as Badgley Mischka, Peter Som and Reem Acra. She will report to DiBenedetto and will oversee Pamella Roland’s department and specialty-store accounts.
