HOWARD’S MOVE: Meredith Howard has been named chief brand officer for Lover.ly, a new visual search and e-commerce wedding site. She had been vice president of communications at Daily Candy, owned by NBCUniversal.
In her new role at the firm, she will oversee the wedding site’s brand development initiatives, communications functions and events activities, and will report to Kellee Khalil, chief executive officer and founder of Lover.ly.
Prior to her role at Daily Candy, Howard managed public relations for several Bob Pittman/Pilot Group-owned e-mail newsletter companies including DailyCandy, Thrillist and IdealBite.
Lover.ly, a venture-backed startup that was launched in 2012, was designed as a one-stop resource for brides. It allows women to search for weddings gowns, jewelry, shoes, men’s, food and drink, gifts, decor, flowers and stationery, and currently sells products from 1,300 retailers.
