With its new financing, Dutch LLC, a designer and distributor of contemporary apparel under the labels Joie, Equipment and Current/Elliott, has been beefing up its executive management team.
The company hired Michael Saunders as chief operating officer, a new post. Most recently, he had been chief operating officer of Kellwood Co., where he worked eight years.
In July, the company named Jennifer Adams as chief financial officer, also a new post. She had spent three years as cfo of Seven For All Mankind.
Saunders oversees the company’s direction and gauges future opportunities. Adams spearheads the strategic and operational aspects of financial planning.
Both Saunders and Adams, who are based in Los Angeles, report to Serge Azria, chief executive officer.
Last January, Azria sold a 60 percent stake in Dutch LLC to private equity firm TA Associates. Azria has been actively developing all three labels, moving them into new product categories and expanding their distribution.
