TSG Consumer Partners has named a new president.
James L. O’Hara, who also serves as TSG’s managing director, assumed his new post last week.
O’Hara, 45, has been with the firm since 1998 and sits on the board for various TSG portfolio companies, including Muscle Milk and Yard House. He previously sat on the boards of former TSG investments such as Vitaminwater, Smashbox, Meguiar’s and Don Miguel.
“Jamie has been instrumental to the success of our firm,” said TSG founder and chief executive officer Charles H. Esserman. “He has been acting in a leadership capacity at TSG for several years, and his election formally recognizes the importance of his role and contributions to the firm.”
Prior to joining TSG, O’Hara was a consultant at Bain & Co. and a corporate and securities attorney with Cahill Gordon & Reindel.
