George Todor, vice president of the E.A. Hughes & Co. search firm and a former senior executive with Cotton Inc. and Springs Industries Inc., died April 7 after a short battle with cancer. He was 62.
Todor, a 30-year veteran of the textile and fashion industries, held a wide range of management positions covering men’s, women’s, children’s and home products and industrial textiles. At Cotton, he served as senior vice president of sales and marketing. He also worked at Dixie Yarns/Ticaro Knits, J.P. Stevens & Co. Inc. and Dundee Mills. Two years ago, Todor joined E.A. Hughes. He lived in New Hope, Pa.
Todor was a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science (now Philadelphia University). He was a founding member of the New York Textile Group, formerly known as the New York Textile Board of Trade, and was involved in various industry related committees.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, a son, a daughter and three grandchildren.
