She replaces Sharon Collier, who has left the company. Poccia most recently served as global president of Avon’s Mark business, where she was responsible for a number of innovative marketing programs and strategic alliances....Stephane de la Faverie senior vice president and general manager for the Aramis and Designer Fragrances division of the Esteé Lauder Cos. Inc., a newly created position. Most recently general manager of L’Oréal’s Giorgio Armani USA fragrance division, de la Faverie will report to Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, global brand president of Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Beauty Bank and Idea Bank....Wal-Mart named Duncan Mac Naughton chief merchandising officer, responsible for all merchandise categories across the retailer’s 3,700-plus domestic stores. He succeeds John Fleming, who left Wal-Mart in August after he was passed over for the job of U.S. stores chief. Mac Naughton joined Wal-Mart in 2009 as chief merchandising officer of Wal-Mart Canada. Prior to that, he was at Kraft Foods, H.E. Butt Grocery Co. and Albertsons....In December, Leslie Freytag was named president and ceo of the nail polish brand Butter London. Most recently, Freytag oversaw the Freytag Group, which consulted with consumer product companies on corporate strategies and product development....Helen Willems became president of Beiersdorf France and Belgium on February 1, succeeding René van Duijnhoven, who became president of the management unit for northeast Asia....On February 1, Frédéric Bonifacy became president and ceo of Schwarzkopf Professional France, replacing Katharina Hoehne, who was promoted to vice president, Asia-Pacific, of Schwarzkopf Professional.
Harrods plans to remove the famous statue of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed from the bottom of the Egyptian escalators and hand it back to Mohamed Al-Fayed. “We are very proud to have played our role in celebrating the lives of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Al Fayed at Harrods and to have welcomed people from around the world to visit the memorial for the past 20 years,” said Michael Ward, Harrods managing director. “With the announcement of the new official memorial statue to Diana, Princess of Wales at Kensington Palace, we feel that the time is right to return this memorial to Mr. Al Fayed and for the public to be invited to pay their respects at the palace.” More on the news, with reporting by @loreleimarfil, at WWD.com. #wwdnews

@kering_official is spinning off its stake in puma in an effort to focus on its luxury brands, the brand operator announced yesterday. “We are proud to have supported the turnaround of Puma, which now has unrivaled capabilities to take full advantage of the specific dynamics of its global markets and is poised to achieve substantial growth,” said François-Henri Pinault, Kering’s chief executive officer and chairman. The fashion world mourns for celebrated street style photographer, Nabile Quenum, who died at age 32 in Paris.
Quenum, creator of the fashion blog “J’ai Perdu Ma Veste,” was a fashion week fixture, and regularly shot for New York magazine’s The Cut, among other outlets, and brands such as Louis Vuitton, Moncler and Adidas.
