Claudia Poccia is leaving Avon Products Inc. to become president and chief executive officer of Gurwitch Products, parent company of Laura Mercier and RéVive brands. She replaces Sharon Collier, who has left the company. Poccia most recently served as global president of Avon’s Mark business, where she was responsible for a number of innovative marketing programs and strategic alliances....Stephane de la Faverie senior vice president and general manager for the Aramis and Designer Fragrances division of the Esteé Lauder Cos. Inc., a newly created position. Most recently general manager of L’Oréal’s Giorgio Armani USA fragrance division, de la Faverie will report to Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, global brand president of Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Beauty Bank and Idea Bank....Wal-Mart named Duncan Mac Naughton chief merchandising officer, responsible for all merchandise categories across the retailer’s 3,700-plus domestic stores. He succeeds John Fleming, who left Wal-Mart in August after he was passed over for the job of U.S. stores chief. Mac Naughton joined Wal-Mart in 2009 as chief merchandising officer of Wal-Mart Canada. Prior to that, he was at Kraft Foods, H.E. Butt Grocery Co. and Albertsons....In December, Leslie Freytag was named president and ceo of the nail polish brand Butter London. Most recently, Freytag oversaw the Freytag Group, which consulted with consumer product companies on corporate strategies and product development....Helen Willems became president of Beiersdorf France and Belgium on February 1, succeeding René van Duijnhoven, who became president of the management unit for northeast Asia....On February 1, Frédéric Bonifacy became president and ceo of Schwarzkopf Professional France, replacing Katharina Hoehne, who was promoted to vice president, Asia-Pacific, of Schwarzkopf Professional.
