Ventura, Calif. — Patagonia on Thursday appointed Rose Marcario, chief executive officer of Patagonia Works, the parent company of Patagonia, Inc., to the dual post of president and ceo of Patagonia. Prior to serving as the ceo of Patagonia Works, Marcario served as Patagonia’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Casey Sheahan will step down as ceo of Patagonia, Inc., effective Feb. 7, in order to spend more time with his family in Colorado.
“Over the past five years Rose and Casey have launched great new products and improved our systems while breaking new ground in our commitment to use our business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis,” said Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard in a statement.
