The police said that 25-year-old Geldof’s death is being treated as “a non-suspicious, but an unexplained and sudden death.” The statement added that police officers are working to establish the circumstances of Geldof’s death, and will compile a report on their findings for the coroner. A post-mortem examination will be carried out “in the next few days,” the police said. While reports in British tabloid The Sun Tuesday said that police had found no evidence of drugs, no suicide note or any visible signs of injury while investigating Geldof's death, a police spokesman declined to comment on those reports.
A string of British celebrities including Lily Allen, Boy George and Ellie Goulding have written tributes to Geldof on Twitter since news of her death broke on Monday. Earlier on Tuesday, her elder sister Fifi Geldof posted a picture of her and Peaches as children on Instagram, captioned: “My beautiful baby sister…Gone but never forgotten. I love you, Peaches x”
Amy Molyneaux, who with Percy Parker designs the London label PPQ, recalled working with Geldof on a capsule collection in 2008. She said via e-mail Tuesday, "Peaches would already be three rails into the collection before I knew she had arrived in [the] store. She knew exactly what she wanted, she was witty, definitive and could find a joke in an empty room — skills we too often look past," Molyneaux's statement read. "When you start your design career you think of your fabrics and dresses and when they come with the personalities inside them, it’s an absolute pleasure. It's quite hard to verbalize, I will miss her greatly."
