LONDON — Pia Tonna has been named director of marketing and communications at the London-based luxury jeweler Fabergé with immediate effect.

Tonna, a PR veteran, will oversee brand strategy, corporate communications, global PR, product launch strategy, and celebrity product placement. She will also oversee retail marketing strategy, advertising, strategic brand partnerships, and digital communications.

Tonna was most recently corporate communications and PR manager at Gemfields plc, which acquired 100 percent of Fabergé last November.

She has previously worked in marketing and communication roles for Chanel, Holland & Holland, and Paul Smith, and ran her own leather accessories company, Piatonna.
