Palus, who previously combined the managing director and cfo positions, will dedicate his time fully to expanding, supporting and coordinating the group’s brands, which range from Gucci to Puma and books and electronics retailer Fnac, PPR stated.
“In the context of our transformation strategy, the duties of PPR group managing director Jean-François Palus will be extended to support the group’s expansion, backed in particular by a streamlined and bolstered corporate organization serving our brands,” said PPR chairman and chief executive officer François-Henri Pinault.
Duplaix, who previously held the position of deputy cfo at media empire Groupe M6, will report to Palus. His appointment is effective Jan. 30.
