Percy Savage, a public relations executive after whom the Dior fragrance Eau Sauvage was named, died in London Tuesday at the age of 81, according to Winston Cuthbert, a friend. Cuthbert did not disclose a cause of death.
Savage served as Lanvin’s head of public relations in the Fifties and later worked at Nina Ricci. At Lanvin, Savage dressed several celebrities in designer clothes, including Elizabeth Taylor at a film premiere in Paris, resulting in unprecedented publicity for the house. He also dressed Jackie Kennedy in Nina Ricci for another Paris event.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
