Two retailers with personalities and career paths as different as night and day, Richard A. Baker, governor and chief executive of Hudson’s Bay Co., and Ken C. Hicks, chairman, president and ceo of Foot Locker, shared the spotlight Thursday night when they were honored with the American Jewish Committee’s National Human Relations Award.

The crowd of 1,025 at the Hilton New York raised $2.6 million for the AJC, which advocates democratic values, human rights and religious freedom and raises money for relief efforts.
