Her appointment is effective June 12, when she will succeed Britton Russell, who is leaving the firm. She will report to Joseph Parsons, chief financial officer.

Robinson has served in her current capacity with Toys ‘R’ Us since joining the company in 2012. Prior to that, she was senior vice president of supply, logistics and customer experience at The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., following four years in a similar role at Smart & Final Stores LLC.

She began her career as a logistics officer in the U.S. Army and later held logistics and operations positions with Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

John Idol, chairman and chief executive officer of Michael Kors, said Robinson’s “significant experience managing global supply chain operations for large retail distribution networks, both brick-and-mortar and online, will be instrumental to us as we develop a world-class distribution network to meet the growing demand for our brand.”

Kors is scheduled to report its fourth-quarter and full-year results on May 28. In the nine months of the fiscal year through Dec. 28, net income increased 68.8 percent to $500.4 million, or $2.44 a diluted share, as revenues reached $2.29 billion, 51 percent above the prior-year level.
