Scott Roe has been promoted to vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of VF Corp. He will also serve as a member of VF’s operating committee.
Roe succeeds Bradley Batten, who is retiring after 10 years with the Greensboro, N.C.-based apparel giant. He continues to report to Bob Shearer, senior vice president and chief financial officer of VF.
Roe joined VF in 1996 after serving as a senior auditor at Ernst & Young. He was vice president of finance and cfo of the company’s international business for six years prior to being promoted to vice president of finance last year, when he began to work with Batten on the transition in responsibilities and assumed financial oversight of the Jeanswear Americas and imagewear coalitions.
“Scott has played an important role in the evolution of our finance team,” Shearer said, “most recently in providing financial oversight of our international business during a period of exceptional growth.”
With 2012 revenues of $10.88 billion and net income of $1.09 billion, VF is the largest marketer of apparel in the U.S. Its brand portfolio is led by Wrangler, Lee, Timberland, The North Face and Vans, all of which have annual sales in excess of $1 billion.
