PARIS — Sephora said it would lodge an appeal following a court's decision that its flagship here, on the Champs-Élysées, must close at 9 p.m.
"Sephora will quickly study the consequences of this decision on employment," the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned perfumery chain said in a statement. "More than 50 people, all volunteers, have been employed to allow the store to be open for the Champs-Élysées' touristic clientele until midnight during the week and 1 a.m. the weekend."
