PARIS — Paris-based SMCP Group, the holding for the Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot brands, has named Emmanuel Pradère vice president of finance and operations.
Pradère, who joined SMCP in February 2012 as chief financial officer, has become a member of the group’s executive board since Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) bought a majority stake in SMCP earlier thisyear, the company said.
A 41-year-old graduate of HEC Business School in Paris, he began his career at La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild in 1995. Pradère subsequently held posts at Saint-Gobain Group and Casino Group, namely as chief financial officer of the latter’s subsidiary, Franprix Leader Price.
“Emmanuel Pradère has brought to the group 14 years of experience in retail, in addition to solid financial expertise, both of which are powerful assets for SMCP in the implementation of its development strategy, namely overseas,” SMCP said.
KKR in June finalized its acquisition of a 65 percent stake in SMCP Group, which operates 700 points of sale worldwide.
