Dinah Emsalem has been promoted to chief operating officer of the North American subsidiary of the SMCP Group.
Emsalem will be responsible for the operations, development and strategic initiatives of the group’s brands — Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot — in North America. Emsalem, who has more than 20 years of experience in private equity and managing ready-to-wear retailing, will report to SMCP Group chief executive officer Daniel Lalonde. Emsalem succeeds Patrick Valeo, who has decided to pursue other opportunities, according to the company.
