Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI’s executive vice president and artisticdirector, will transition to a consultant role effective July 1.

Weiss-Fischmann,who helped found the nail-care company, called the moment bittersweet.“It feels like I’ve sold the company for the second time,” she saidFriday afternoon.

Beauty giant Coty acquired the company in 2010and founder George Schaeffer, with whom Weiss-Fischmann worked from thebeginning of the company, stepped down in 2013.

“I oweeverything to this country,” said Weiss-Fischmann, a Hungarianimmigrant. “It gave me the opportunity to help build a major beautybrand and to empower women all over the world.”

In her new role,Weiss-Fischmann is expected to consult on color collections and toserve as a global brand ambassador for the brand.
