Sylvan Tobin, 83, a second-generation co-owner of boys’ apparel manufacturer Fishman & Tobin, died Wednesday at his home in Haverford, Pa.
After World War II, Tobin, along with his first cousin Bernard Fishman, started B&S Manufacturing. Their fathers, brothers-in-law Samuel Fishman and Louis Tobin, were the founders of the family business in 1914 in Philadelphia.
