LONDON — Daniel Grieder has been named chief executive of Tommy Hilfiger Europe B.V., the wholly owned subsidiary of Tommy Hilfiger Group.
Grieder, 46, succeeds Fred Gehring, who had been in that role since 1997, and who became the group's global chief executive in 2006. Grieder, who has already taken up his new role, reports directly to Gehring.
Grieder, a Swiss national, began working with the Tommy Hilfiger brand in 1997 as a sales agent. Most recently, he was chief operating officer and president of Tommy Hilfiger Europe.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
