Reflecting a worldwide reorganization and a reinforcement of top-level management, Valentino Spa created two new positions, appointing Massimo Piombini as worldwide sales director and Jacopo Venturini as director of ready-to-wear collections. They both report to Valentino’s chief executive officer, Stefano Sassi, and are already in their new roles. Piombini will oversee all foreign markets for the fashion house as well as the European retail network and wholesalers. The 48-year-old manager gained a two-decade experience in the luxury goods sector at Bulgari, Gucci and most recently Bally. Venturini, 39, will team up with the sales, retail and operations divisions to build new strategies to better develop the product range. His has worked at La Rinascente, Valentino, Ralph Lauren and Prada.
