LONDON — Valerie Young has been named executive director of merchandising at Anya Hindmarch.

Young joins Anya Hindmarch from Burberry, where she was director of merchandising for the brand’s worldwide non-apparel and soft accessories business. Before joining Burberry, she worked for Hermès, heading up their retail operations in the U.K.

The company has been updating its management team over the past few months and has recently also added Paul Quenson as its executive director of design. Previously, he had worked with Hermès, Balenciaga, Martin Margiela and Prada.

In addition, Nathalie Hardy has joined as associate director of retail, having worked previously with Christian Dior and Prada in the U.K.

“The addition of Valerie, Paul, and Nathalie on top of an extraordinary team of Italian leather and hardware experts, means we are well placed to execute on our ambitions,” said James McArthur, the company’s chief executive.
