MILAN — Luxury mobile phone company Vertu has tapped Massimiliano Pogliani as its new marketing and communications director, a post that had been vacant for two years.
Previously Pogliani was commercial and marketing director at Nestlé Super Premium and held roles in the marketing departments of various companies, including international group Saeco.
“I’m very happy to welcome Massimiliano in Vertu,” said Vertu president and chief executive officer Perry Oosting. “His great experience in marketing and communication of luxury goods, combined with his deep knowledge of the premium retail, will be invaluable for our team in the perspective of a continuous growth.”
During Milan Fashion Week last September, Vertu launched, in collaboration with Lapo Elkann’s Italia Independent label, its new Constellation Blue Collection.
The limited-edition line includes two blue, handcrafted steel and carbon fiber smartphones, available in keyboard and touchscreen versions.
