BERLIN — Philipp Wolff has resigned as senior vice president of communications worldwide at Hugo Boss, WWD has learned.
The 12-year Boss veteran is leaving the company to pursue other interests which he said he could not discuss further at this time.
Until a successor is named, Boss’s corporate, retail and brand PR departments will report directly to chief executive officer Claus-Dietrich Lahrs.
Industry observers said Wolff was instrumental in building Boss brand awareness on a global scale, and in an internal memo, the company thanked him for his efforts.
Wolff was first based in Milan for the start-up of Boss Woman for two years, and then moved to Boss headquarters in Metzingen. Prior to joining Boss, Wolff was communications and marketing director of Escada.
