Le Colonial’s second floor was predictably packed with revelers celebrating CEW’s 60th anniversary at a cocktail party cohosted by CEW and WWD. Lynne Greene, Karen Fondu, Jill Scalamandre, Thia Breen and Claudia Poccia were on hand to honor Carlotta Jacobson, president, and the organization’s all-star staff, who have collectively built CEW into an industry powerhouse. After a moving introduction by Scalamandre, CEW’s chairwoman, Jacobson laughingly remembered the early days, including miniscule offices that made creative use of a bathtub, then gave a heartfelt shout out to everyone inside and outside of the organization who have contributed to its stellar growth.
