STAFFING UP: French contemporary brand Zadig & Voltaire has named Laura Giulini as managing director, a new post.
Giulini, formerly senior vice president of wholesale at Giorgio Armani Corp., will report to Richard Fettaya, chief executive officer of Zadig & Voltaire Worldwide. She will be charged with overseeing retail activities and the expansion of wholesale, in addition to developing new business initiatives. The brand, founded in 1997 by Thierry Gillier, is present in more than 30 countries and has turnover of close to $250 million. It has 15 points of sales in the U.S., including four stores in New York and one in Los Angeles. A new flagship on Broome Street in New York is opening mid-2013.
