Jonathan Zrihen, president and chief executive officer of Clarins Groupe USA Inc., will take on the additional role of president of the Clarins subsidiary in Canada, according to Philip Shearer, ceo of the Paris-based Clarins Groupe Worldwide.

Prior to arriving in the U.S. in 2006, Zrihen headed the Canadian subsidiary, based in Montreal. Shearer noted that the American ceo is expected to create synergies between the U.S. and Canadian operations.

Zrihen has been with Clarins since 1993, when he joined the company as an intern, working in Spain and Australia for two years. He then relocated to Paris as export director for the U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Zrihen then moved to Singapore, where he headed Asia-Pacific before assuming his duties in Montreal.
