PARIS — Chanel said it has decided not to appeal a decision by the Paris Court of Appeal ordering it to pay 200,000 euros, or $254,200 at current exchange, to World Tricot in a long-running counterfeiting suit.
The Sept. 14 ruling overturned a 2009 commercial court decision that ordered World Tricot, one of Chanel’s former knitwear suppliers, to pay the Paris fashion house a similar fine for “public disparagement” for accusations that Chanel copied one of its crochet designs.

"It's really hard sometimes. I think I have a reputation for being really tough and aggressive and pushy but I really am a very shy person who wants to be liked, and that's the conflict constantly. There's something that takes hold - I want people to like me, I don't want to be mean - but if I see something that just cries out to be answered, I go for it," says renowned NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
