HL LA has entered arbitration with Jo Charnuis Inc.

HL LA has entered arbitration with Jo Charnuis Inc. According to documents filed with the American Arbitration Association in New York, Jo Charnuis Inc. owes HL LA at least $80,227 in unpaid service fees. HL LA is a division of HL Group, the consulting firm cofounded by former Polo Ralph Lauren executives Hamilton South and Lynn Tesoro. As part of an agreement signed between the two companies, Jo Charnuis and its principal Cho Cheng retained HL LA to advise on its work with the fashion community and assist in the launch of Cheng’s designs and fashion collection in the American market. HL LA alleges that Jo Charnuis failed to pay its monthly retainer fees of $26,750 from April through July. A call to the attorney representing Jo Charnuis was not returned by press time.
