London-based fragrance expert Roja Dove has literally written the book on fragrance. Dubbed “The Essence of Perfume,” the 288-page tome will hit bookstores in September. The hardback, which is illustrated with images of vintage bottles and iconic advertisements, explores the history and culture of scent from the ancient Egyptians’ penchant for perfume to today’s billion-dollar industry. It will be priced at 40 pounds, or $79.20 at current exchange.
