With mall traffic and consumer spending tepid, stores and brands must“ignite the customer experience.” That’s the theme of the next GlobalRetailing Conference of the University of Arizona’s Terry J. LundgrenCenter for Retailing, April 10 to 11 at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson,Ariz.

It’s a forum for retail, brand and technology executivesas well as academics and students to generate insights and discuss bestpractices and innovation.

“The pace of change has never been asrapid as it is today. Leading retailers and brand marketers are lookingdifferently at how they attract and retain customers and how theydevelop the talent needed for the future,” said Terry J. Lundgren,chairman, president and chief executive officer of Macy’s Inc., who willdeliver opening remarks.
