ALL THAT GLITTERS: Crystallized Swarovski Elements has partnered with fashion, accessories and tabletop designers for “Unbridaled: The Marriage of Tradition and Avant Garde,” a tome devoted to bridal designs, with a U.S. launch set for mid-October. John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood, Phillip Lim and Vera Wang are among those who have created pieces using Crystallized Swarovski Elements to showcase bridal fashion. Entries include a dazzling Galliano gown and accessories from the likes of Stephen Jones and Jimmy Choo.
Crystallized Swarovski Elements is a new product brand for loose Swarovski crystals. To mark the launch, contributors to “Unbridaled” will fete the book and unveil a wedding exhibition Wednesday at the Rockefeller Center’s rooftop garden in New York at an event hosted by Nadja Swarovski, a yet-to-be-named special guest and event designer Preston Bailey. More than 100 designers, including some who specialize in floral arrangements, stationery and even pastry, pitched in for the book, which is being sold at assouline.com.
Select pieces featured in the book will be displayed in a suite during the Wedding Channel Couture show at the InterContinental-Barclay Hotel from Oct. 18 to 20. Swarovski plans to use the suite to show how crystal is used within the bridal industry.
