Juicy Couture has hired Robert Trauber as chief financial and operating officer, a new post for the Los Angeles–based brand.
Trauber had been with Cole Haan Ltd., a division of Nike Inc., as vice president of corporate development, new markets and corporate finance. Since joining in 2005, he has been responsible for development of international markets in Asia, the Middle East and Europe, as well as business development in licensed product categories. Before that, he worked at companies such as Coach, J. Crew, Warner Bros. and Neiman Marcus.
Based in New York, Trauber will join Juicy Couture on Feb. 9. He will report to both Edgar Huber, president of Juicy Couture, and Andy Warren, chief financial officer of parent company Liz Claiborne Inc. Trauber will work with Huber and Juicy co-founders Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy to expand the business globally and in new categories, as well as improve efficiencies of the business model.
“His understanding of how the finance and planning roles can enhance a creative business will be invaluable…the operational expertise Robert has honed over his career will be integral as we continue to grow the global Juicy brand,” Huber said.
