BIRTHDAY DOC: French channel Paris Première is marking Kate Moss’ 40th birthday later this month by airing a documentary about the perennially in-demand model. Shot by Dominique Miceli, the film claims to shed light on Moss’ “character and mystery,” according to the channel.
Miceli’s documentary features interviews with fashion names including designer Isabel Marant and photographers Peter Lindbergh, Paolo Roversi and David Ross, alongside comments from Philippe Garner, a director of Christie’s; Franca Sozzani, the editor in chief of Vogue Italia, and Patrick Lemire, a former agent of Moss’. The model herself hasn’t contributed to the piece. A spokeswoman for Moss said the famously interview-shy model “isn’t participating in [the documentary] in any way, nor will she be giving any comment on her forthcoming birthday.” The spokeswoman also noted that the piece hasn’t been authorized by Moss. The documentary is in French and is set to air on Jan. 12 at 11 p.m. Central European Time and will be repeated Jan 17 at 10 a.m. CET.
