BRANT 2.0: Brant Publications Inc. just finished a massive overhaul of its largest title Interview; now the company is focused on making over its Web sites. And Brant has brought in some extra manpower for the job: former executive editor Keith Pollock will join as executive editor of online and Susan Cappa has been named director of marketing for Brant’s three titles — Interview, Art in America and The Magazine Antiques. Both will join on Sept. 2.

Pollock joined in May 2007 and was promoted to executive editor of the women’s digital group for Hachette Filipacchi Media, overseeing,,, and before leaving the company this spring. At Brant, he will oversee development of the online sites for the three magazines and report to online director Kelly Brant, who joined in April from Green Screen Interactive Software. is set to relaunch in November or December, and will include daily updated news stories and historical video from The Andy Warhol Museum. and will both relaunch in January. Meanwhile, Cappa will head up integrated marketing efforts for all three titles and Web sites and report to group publisher Alan Katz. — Stephanie D. Smith

BLING MAN: Italian watch and jewelry firm Binda Group clearly doesn’t want time to whisk by when it comes to a front man: it has signed Edward Norton for its Breil Milano men’s ad campaigns until 2010. The actor was photographed in Los Angeles by Jean-Baptiste Mondino and the ads will debut worldwide next month. Binda, which owns Breil Milano and the Wyler Genève business, is also the licensee for brands including Dolce & Gabbana’s D&G watches and costume jewels, Moschino Cheap & Chic watches and costume jewels and Ducati watches. Norton joins fellow thespian Charlize Theron, whose contract was reconfirmed earlier this year until 2011, and who was also photographed by Mondino for the brand’s women’s campaign. Over the past year, Binda has been repositioning Breil Milano in the high-end range of the market through the use of more precious materials. Breil also launched its first handbags in June. The company will officially inaugurate its first flagship in New York’s SoHo district next month during New York Fashion Week. — Luisa Zargani



HIGHER AND HIGHER: Glamour’s redesigned September issue aims to present a more modern, upscale look, which also includes higher price points of products in its pages. So where the editorial side leads, the advertising one hopes to follow: The magazine has added staff to boost its designer collection business. Bobby Graham has been tapped as executive director, fashion, and Lauren Fisher, formerly of Allure, has been hired as executive fashion director. They will hope to increase the number of ad pages in Glamour from those much-sought-after luxury companies — not an easy task in this economy. — Amy Wicks
