GOING POP: A little less than two years after taking over as editor in chief of Pop Magazine in London, Dasha Zhukova has resigned. A spokesman said she’s leaving to focus on independent digital publishing projects in the arts but he declined to provide more information. “My time at Pop has been a transformative experience that I am extremely proud of,” Zhukova said. “It has afforded me the chance to collaborate with some of the greatest creative minds in the world and I’m thankful to Ashley Heath and Bauer Media for the opportunity. I’m now excited to move on and build something from the ground up.” The magazine will now fall under Heath’s direction.

A spokesman added that Zhukova’s final issue featured twice as many advertisers and nearly three times the ad pages than when former editor Katie Grand was at the helm. Zhukova is also known for co-founding the Kova & T clothing line and Moscow’s Garage Center for Contemporary Culture. Zhukova was the subject of a New Yorker profile in September.
