FULLER HONORED: Bonnie Fuller, president and chief executive officer of HollywoodLife.com, was one of the recipients of the Distinguished Citizen Award, presented Monday night by the John A. Reisenbach Foundation at the Harmonie Club in New York. Tommy Hilfiger presented Fuller with the award. The two other recipients were Peter Knobloch, ceo of RJ Palmer, a midsize, full-service media agency, and Jo Ann Ross, president, network sales, CBS Television Network, responsible for all sales for CBS Entertainment, Sports, Daytime, News and Late Night.
“The Reisenbach award is meant to highlight those who combine their business lives with positive community engagement,” said Charlie Rutman, president of End Zone Communications, a former Reisenbach recipient and the gala chair. The John A. Reisenbach Foundation donates at least 93 percent of funds raised and has given more than $4 million to programs that improve the safety and the quality of life in New York City.
John Reisenbach, the 33-year-old vice president of national advertising for All American Television, was killed in New York City in 1991, in a single random act of violence. As a response to this tragedy, leadership in the advertising and communications communities created the foundation to support programs to create a safer city, such as the Child Abuse Prevention Program, Citizens Committee for NYC, New York Cares, New York Police Foundation, the Police Athletic League and Safe Horizon.
