GUESS AGAIN: Guess, whose iconic ads have launched the careers of models such as Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, Anna Nicole Smith, Laetitia Casta and Kate Upton, said today that it will partner with Ford Models and Elle magazine for its first North American model search to find the next Guess Girl. Open to women 16 years and older in the U.S. and Canada, the contest’s winner will be flown to New York for a Guess shoot to appear in Elle, receive a $2,500 Guess shopping spree and have the chance to become a Ford Model. Contestants can enter via a dedicated microsite, guessgirl.com, or through the Guess page on Facebook, by uploading three images from April 19 to May 15. The public will vote on 25 semifinalists from May 24 to June 7 to select five finalists, from which the winner will be chosen by Guess chief executive officer and creative director Paul Marciano and representatives from Elle and Ford Models, and revealed on June 11.
In addition, five casting events with a model scout from Ford will take place at Guess retail locations in Los Angeles on April 20, and Chicago, Dallas, Miami and Toronto, all on April 27. Entrants and Guess fans alike can join the conversation using the hashtag #GUESSGirl.
