HINDMARCH IN SPACE: Anya Hindmarch has tapped the London-based creative agency David James Associates to create its spring advertising campaign, the luxury brand’s first time working with the agency. The campaign spotlights a series of still life images that take their cues from the designer’s spring presentation, during which the planet-inspired collection of handbags was suspended above the runway, as if floating in space.

Photographer Julia Hetta has photographed designs including the label’s Deconstructed Bathurst satchel and Forbidden Planet Marano clutch, placed in a series of shadowy tableaux, alongside objects such as models of molecules, pipettes, rock crystals and archaic-looking scientific instruments. The creative direction was by David James and the set designer was Hannes Hetta. “David and his team are responsible for creating some of the luxury industry’s most memorable fashion images,” said Anya Hindmarch. “To have them work with us in our communication is an incredibly exciting partnership…which we hope to be long-standing,” she added.

The campaign will break in the March issues of titles including the U.K. editions of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar, along with Love, 10 Magazine and The Gentlewoman. In the U.S., the campaign will run in T: The New York Times Magazine.
