MUSICAL CHAIRS: Marie Claire France has named Anne-Sophie Thomas as the magazine’s editor in chief for fashion, effective since Feb. 2.
Thomas was most recently editor in chief for fashion for Jalouse and a fashion editor for L’Officiel. L’Officiel and Jalouse publisher, Editions Jalou, was placed into receivership earlier this month.
Thomas succeeds Marie-Noëlle Demay, who left the company. She reports to Marie Claire editor in chief Marianne Mairesse.
The magazine has yet to name a successor for former deputy editor in chief Katell Pouliquen, who left to oversee feature stories at Elle France.
Monthly circulation of Marie Claire was down 2.3 percent in 2014 versus the prior year to 395,054.
