BAZAAR MOVES: Melissa Foss has been named senior beauty editor of Harper’s Bazaar. Foss, former beauty editor at Good Housekeeping, replaces Elizabeth Lamont, who went to Vogue as beauty editor, as reported.

CHANGING PLACES: Diane Salvatore, the new editor in chief of Ladies’ Home Journal, is putting her new team together. Scott Yardley has been named creative director, replacing Richard Weigand, who has left the magazine. Yardley had been freelancing for various companies.

Roberta Caploe has been named executive editor, replacing Pamela Guthrie O’Brien, who is moving upstairs to work with Meredith editorial director Myrna Blyth on new product development. Caploe had previously been the editor in chief of the Youth Entertainment Group at Primedia, responsible for Tiger Beat, Bop, Teen Beat and 16, until Annemarie Iverson, editor in chief of Seventeen, was tapped as the teen division’s editorial director in September 2001. Earlier Caploe was executive editor of Seventeen from 1997 to 2000.
