Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue hits New York newsstands on Wednesday with approximately 322 ad pages, up 25 percent from last year’s March issue. On the subject of ads, Vanity Fair is also up 12.4 percent for the first quarter under new publisher Edward Menicheschi, according to a MIN/publisher estimate. “The strong March issue is a direct result of the energy around Vanity Fair,” said Menicheschi. “It’s really about our circulation, which is at its highest ever, and the fact that our groundbreaking editorial plays an enormous role in the culture.” The Hollywood issue has a total of 500 pages and the cover features funnymen Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Chris Rock and Jack Black. It remains to be seen if the comedic foursome has the chops to beat last year’s cover with a naked Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley and (clothed) Tom Ford.
